Chapter 129
Her phone buzzed with a new message that had just arrived from Chris
Chris: [Boss, Springvale’s in chaos right now. Andy’s got people out looking for you–must’ve figured out you took Sean. As for Mr. Sylvan, still no sign of him. Finding him’s going to be tough.
Zina’s brows knitted instantly, a flicker of confusion flashing in her eyes.
Wade isn’t in Springvale! Zina thought, a flicker of confusion in her eyes. That doesn’t make sense.”
Zina’s mind was a tangled mess. She pursed her lips, a puzzled frown creasing her brow as her fingers never stopped typing.
[What’s the situation with Andy? Stall him–don’t let him come to Jorvellan. As for the Sinclair family, I’ll handle it myself.]
Zina thought to herself, Andy must have already tipped off Kevin. The Sinclair family is probably in complete chaos right
now.
Thinking of this, a smirk played on Zina’s lips as satisfaction coursed through her.
And just as Zina had anticipated, the Sinclair family was indeed in complete disarray at this very moment.
Kevin stood rooted in the dead center of the living room, his hands clenched into pale–knuckled fists and his lips pressed into a grim line. His expression was obscured by the shadows, unreadable.
Kevin’s mind raced in panic. “What the hell is going on? Did Zina somehow find out what happened back then? Why the hell is she suddenly digging into Springvale!”
Kevin clenched his jaw, his face twisted into a furious grimace as his entire body trembled with barely contained rage.
Rosie and her mother stood frozen nearby, their faces etched with terror and confusion, utterly at a loss.
Avery forced a strained smile and hastily nudged Rosie, urging her to step forward.
Reluctantly, Rosie stepped forward, forcing herself to summon what little strength she had, and whispered.
“Dad, please don’t get upset yet. We don’t even know what’s really going on. Maybe Zina was just on some wild goose chase and ended up in Springvale by accident.”
“A coincidence? How could it possibly be a coincidence? Andy already came to me–this is definitely no simple matter.”
Kevin’s fingers clenched into pale–knuckled fists, his face turning an alarming shade of purple with rage.
His heart pounded violently, yet he just couldn’t contain his fury.
On top of that, a wave of overwhelming panic swept over him, leaving him terrified and at a loss for answers.
Kevin said urgently. “We have to find a way to deal with Zina. We can’t let her dig any deeper–if she really brings that old case to light, our whole family is finished.”
Rosie said, “Dad, don’t worry. I’ll dig up some information about Zina over the next few days. She’s probably having a hard time since she left our family.”

Chapter 129
Perhaps Rosie’s words struck a chord with Kevin, as his tense expression eased slightly. He said coldly. “Let’s wait and see. If Zina really refuses to let go of this grudge, then I’ll have no choice but to disown her as my daughter.”
Under Kevin’s resentful glare, a glimmer of delight flashed in Rosie’s eyes, her hands trembling uncontrollably behind her back from barely contained excitement.
Back in his study, Kevin hesitated for a moment before finally picking up the phone.
Meanwhile, Zina was working at her desk when she glanced at the caller ID. She arched a brow, a glint of amusement sparking in her eyes.
The moment the call connected, Kevin’s voice came through, tinged with desolation, yet forcibly composed, as if he was barely holding himself together.
Kevin barked, “Zina, get your ass back to the Sinclair mansion. We need to talk. If you still think you’re part of this family. then drop this wild goose chase already. What’s past is past–what the hell are you digging up
now?”
Zina sneered, “Oh? Throwing a tantrum already?”
Zina’s mocking voice sliced through the phone line, and the other end instantly fell dead silent.
