“Miss Sinclair, I sincerely apologize for this abrupt interruption. Would you be able to come to Skyline Plaza right away! Cain has just fainted again. Mr. Sylvan is out and can’t make it back in time, but he suggested we contact you,” said Miles
Miles maintained a deeply deferential posture as he gazed at the pale, unconscious boy by the window, his heart wrenching
with free agony.
“Give me half an hour Zina pressed her lips together. She couldn’t refuse.
Afier hanging up amidst Miles’s words of gratitude, Zina let out a long sigh and cast a glance at Chris and Aiden beside her.
Zana said. “I have to leave for a bit. Keep an eye on that young man. When you think he’s ready, give him my contact info- he’s destined for great things”
Zina rarely gave such praise. Chris turned and exchanged a glance with Aiden, both instantly grasped the unspoken understanding between them.
As Zina hurried through the training grounds on her way out, she suddenly sensed a piercing gaze fixed on her.
The intense gaze came from the training grounds.
After scanning the area but finding no suspicious individuals, Zina pressed her lips together and turned to leave.
In the car, Zina abruptly spoke up. “At the traming grounds, remind all instructors to closely monitor their personnel. If anything suspicious happens, report it to me immediately
Chris’s fingers froze. “Boss, did you notice something?”
“Not exactly.” Zina shook her head, massaging her sore temples. After a brief pause, she continued in a measured tone. “But I do think the Base could use some personnel reorganization.”
Despite her words, a growing grimness settled on Zina’s face.
Chris realized this wasn’t a topic he should pry into, so he wisely fell silent.
Skyline Plaza was centrally located. Chris pushed through traffic and still managed to get there within half an hour.
Zina got out of the car, but not before turning back to Chris with a firm reminder. “Wait for my word outside. I’ll call you need you.
With that, ma strode straight into Skyline Plaza. At the entrance, the security guard she’d seen earlier was gone, replaced by a fresh–faced boy barely out of his teens, beaming as be chatted with someone nearby
Seeing someone approach, the young guard gave a polite rod and said, “Please come in, Miss”
This took Zina aback, but with time running out, she simply nodded and moved on
Arriving at the spot Miles had sent, Zina walked straight over and immediately spotted him sitting outside, worry etched all

Miles’s ashen face was expressionless. He held a cigarette between his fingers but made no move to smoke it, simply letting

the swirling smoke drift and dissipate in the air.
Hearing footsteps approach. Miles whipped around, only to meet Zina’s cool, piercing gaze.
Miles’s parched lips, nearly sticking together, parted slightly, yet no words came out. He simply stared at Zina quietly.
Zina said, “Mr. Quinn, let me assess the situation first.”
The instant Miles whipped around and met her gaze, Zina was caught off guard, momentarily unable to process what was happening
Zina had never seen anyone so haggard–his hollowed checks made it look like he hadn’t slept in days.
“Miss Sinclair, Miles said urgently, “Cain is still undergoing emergency treatment. Let me take you there right away!”
The Quinn family maintained a private medical suite on this floor, amply equipped to provide emergency treatment at any
moment.
At this moment, the room was ablaze with light yet eerily silent, save for the faint clatter of medical instruments and the labored breathing of a few individuals.
