Paternity Test 6

Paternity Test 6

Chapter 6

Monica was taken away by the police. With solid evidence against her, she was immediately sentenced.

Declan slumped in his chair, utterly devastated and haggard.

The moment he saw me, he didn’t try to hit me or curse at me.

I wanted to laugh, but couldn’t. His most beloved daughter had killed his wife, while his most despised biological daughter stood before him completely unharmed.

He must be in agony, right?

A twisted sense of satisfaction surged through me.

It was all over. No one would ever hit me again.

“Go see your mother. She misses you terribly.” Declan’s sudden words made my heart skip a beat.

What game were they playing now?

He looked up, meeting my guarded and suspicious gaze. After a long silence, he seemed to snap back to reality, and his originally sorrowful expression instantly turned vicious.

He roared, “You’re the one who destroyed my family! I’m going to beat you to death!”

He staggered to his feet, trying to rush at me, but collapsed to the floor from exhaustion.

I watched his pathetic state coldly and turned to leave.

Later, I returned home and pulled open a drawer, looking for Declan’s bankbook.

However, the moment I opened the drawer, I saw a letter with “For Ashley” written on it.

Underneath were two bank cards with “Tuition” scrawled

crookedly on a piece of paper.

Before I could process my shock, I heard the sound of dress shoes clicking on the floor in the hallway, along with Declan’s coughing and Vincent’s hushed conversation.

They were heading this way!

They were about to come in!

I stumbled backward, my lower back hitting the desk drawer. The metal handle jabbed into my wound, and I nearly cried out in pain.

Without hesitation, I immediately hid in the study’s cabinet, holding my breath and not daring to move.

I heard Vincent questioning Declan about why he didn’t save

Ariana.

Declan said nothing, only letting out calm, weary laughter.

Vincent flew into a rage, punching Declan in the face and angrily demanding, “You don’t love your daughter at all! You drove your sister to her death! And you even had your wife try to kill your daughter! You animal, I was so wrong about you!”

Listening to Vincent’s hysterical roar, Declan just sneered. “You

think I wanted this?”

Vincent had Declan pinned against the bookshelf, but Declan remained unfazed, his expression bordering on maniacal.

“Ariana should have died long ago! I’ve been raising that bastard’s daughter for so many years!” Declan suddenly laughed. “Emma, that fool, brought this on herself by getting involved with you…”

Didn’t Declan love Ariana the most? How could he say such things?

Vincent’s fist froze in mid-air.

“You knew all along…” his voice suddenly turned hoarse.

“Of course I knew!” Declan grabbed a decorative object and hurled it at Vincent’s forehead. “Emma played the mistress to be

with you, drove your wife to suicide, got pregnant out of wedlock, and gave birth to a vicious daughter who ended up in our home!”

Declan was agitated, breathing heavily.

He paused, then continued, “But the most disgusting one is still you. You knew your biological daughter was in my house all along, and you still wanted to use her to satisfy your sick pedophile fantasies!”
