Adelaide had a poker face, like she didn’t know what she was thinking.
Staring at her, Adelaide smiled and said, “You forgot to mention one thing, their wedding venue is booked at Collins Hotel, on February 14th, which happens to be Valentine’s Day, how
romantic.”
The air clearly became solid.
Everyone gasped in disbelief.
Adelaide’s frankness was no big deal, but Selina’s recent
behavior seemed a bit out of line.
At one point, Selina blushed, didn’t say anything, just stared
blankly.
Ethen, Adelaide said as she poured herself a glass of wine,
turned around and grabbed a new wine glass from the cabinet.
Then she walked straight to Ethen’s side.
Ethen stood up on his own.
She smiled and said, “Ethen, I know today is your welcome
party. Cheers, forgive me for coming suddenly”

“Adelaide, you could come, I was very happy.” Ethen said
politely, clinking glasses with her.
Adelaide took a sip and then said, “I came with the boss to
discuss work, so I can’t stay long. Ethen, there’s actually
something I need to ask you, can I have a quick word?”
Ethen could tell she was asking for help, he was happy, “Of
course, no problem.”
He told everyone to eat and drink first, then walked out of the
private room with Adelaide.
Alice’s mouth was set in a straight line, Selina sat beside her,
sticking up for her: “Just now she heard that this was Ethan’s reception, her eyes lit up. She really came for Ethan. Alice, don’t blame me for not warning you, now she has nothing to do with Mr. Barnard anymore. Back in school, how many guys had a crush on her. Look, she just casually beckoned with her finger,
and Ethan was bewitched.”

Adelaide told Anderson’s condition, Ethen frowned and said, “Actually, I came back, partly for Mr. Schmitt.”
She breathed a sigh of relief and said, “So, Ethen, do you have connections in Briola that can help us find Mr. Schmitt’s son?”

find it.”
In the end, he took out his phone and said, “Let’s exchange
WhatsApp numbers. If there’s any news, I’ll let you know right
away!”
“Okay, no problem.”
The two were about to exchange WhatsApp, when Alice
walked out from inside and saw the scene, she got angry
immediately.
“What are you guys doing?”
Alice suddenly burst into flames, standing between the two of
them, facing Adelaide: “Did you call Ethen out just to add him
on WhatsApp? Adelaide, can’t you live a moment without a
man?”
“Alice, what are you talking about!” Ethen’s face turned green,
he grabbed her arm and pulled her closer, “Things are not what
you think.”

Alice said with red eyes, “What do you want me to do? If I don’t come out, you two will add each other on WhatsApp. Is the next step to secretly meet up for a dinner date?”
“You’re absolutely unreasonable!” Ethen was speechless, “And I have nothing to do with you, are you interfering too much?”
“I have nothing to do with you? Ethen, have you forgotten that your parents already consider me as their daughter–in–law!”
“That’s my parents liking you, what’s it got to do with me!”
