“Bigamy is illegal,” Garrett told her coldly.
Amanda laughed and said, “When you were with me, how
come you never thought about you and Adelaide being
married?”

“Why didn’t you think it was wrong to do that with me back
then? Were you uncomfortable when you were with me?

“You shut up!” Garrett’s voice was trembling with anger.
“Why should I shut up!” Amanda pointed her finger holding a
short dagger at Garrett, “What are you pretending to be?”

it open with one hand, while the elbow of her other hand hit

Almost at the same time, Amanda realized and angrily swung
the knife at Adelaide.
Garrett roared, “Adele!”
The short sword was about to reach Adelaide’s left eye when a
hand reached across them and grabbed the blade bare–handed.
Adelaide turned her face away in astonishment.
