Spencer was shocked for just two seconds and then quickly calmed down.

“Do you think Spencer won’t find me if I hide inside?” he asked
nervously.

resentful look? We have nothing between us, not even a
beginning or an end.””
Reginald said, “You talk tough to me, but I didn’t see you being
tough at the police station.“”
“I’ll be tough if I have to.” She retorted defiantly.

Adelaide pursed her lips, brushed off the awkwardness, and
finally said two words, “Thank you.”
Those two words didn’t make Reginald very happy, instead he was even more annoyed. “Did you tell Nathan you were going out to gather inspiration, but ended up going to a restaurant?”
“Well, she was in the wrong on this one, after all, it was her first day on the job.” “I’ll get the design drawings done for you within
a week.”
This time Reginald stayed silent.
