Just a few words and he listened obediently, is this a normal
boss–subordinate relationship? The doctor put away his
gossiping heart and quickly examined Reginald. In the end, he

Reginald felt resistant again when he heard about the IV drip,
but Adelaide quickly agreed and asked the doctor to hang it up
right away.

occurrences. Adelaide felt overwhelmed by it all.
She didn’t care, but clicked on Teresa’s message. She only looked
at the latest few.
“Spencer was such a creep, he actually had someone watching
me 24/7!”
“I’m speechless, how come I didn’t see him being so weird
before.”
“Adele, just relax. Take a few more days off. I don’t believe he
can keep an eye on us for long.”
Watching… Adelaide’s face darkened when she finished reading
these messages.
More of shame.
She has caused Teresa a lot of trouble recently.
Put away the phone, Adelaide dragged her suitcase herself. “Mr.
Thorton, I have something going on now, can I take a day off?”
Reginald frowned slightly and asked, “Do you need a ride
there?”
“No, I can take a taxi myself. Goodbye, Mr. Thorton.”

shop owner.”
Reginald gave him a look, “Did she tell you?”

Adelaide came in with her suitcase and greeted everyone,
saying, “Hi!”
Teresa was trimming flowers with two shop assistants, and
when she saw Adelaide, she immediately stood up and said,
“You’re back!”
“Yeah, do you miss me?” Adelaide casually handed out the specialty products she brought from Eldoria to the flower shop
staff, and gave two more to Teresa, saying, “This is for you.”
Teresa didn’t have the mood to look at the gifts now. She
grabbed her hand and said, “Come with me to the office.”
As soon as the office door closed, she asked, “Why didn’t you
stay in Eldoria for a few more days? You came back so soon. And if you came back, why come straight to me? Didn’t I tell you on WhatsApp that Spencer sent someone to monitor me? That person is right outside.”

Adelaide put the suitcase aside and sat on the sofa, saying, “I did
it on purpose.””
“Hmm?” Teresa squinted, “You want to talk to him?”
“The day before yesterday I ran into Lucas at the hotel, Spencer found out I was in Eldoria. Luckily I told Reginald at that time,
so I changed places to stay temporarily. And I went on a business trip with Reginald, he finished his work there, I had to come back with him.”
“Did Spencer know you worked at Orvenix Group?”
“I wasn’t sure yet,” she paused, then said, “I’ll know in a little
