“He’s gone,” Reginald said coolly; and Adelaide snapped out of it,
following him out.
Teresa grabbed the door handle, feeling great, and spoke to
Spencer with a hint of politeness, “Mr. Pierce, how much longer
are you going to stand here? I need to start working.”
Spencer finally moved and stepped out, standing in front of
Teresa.
Seeing the situation, Teresa took a cautious step back.
Spencer stared at her coldly and said, “Tell Adele that Reginald
is not a good person. It’s too late, I couldn’t save her even if I
wanted to.”
Teresa rolled her eyes and said, “Mr. Thorton isn’t a good guy,
you know?”
Spencer’s eyes twitched suddenly, he stopped talking, and left in
a huff.
Teresa sighed at his back.

Walking out of the flower shop, Reginald reminded her, “Give
the car keys to Nathan, he will help you drive back to the
Sterling Estates.” With one hand in his pocket, he walked on her
left side, “If you want Spencer to find out that you live in the
Sterling Estates, you can also choose not to give them.”
Adelaide had already handed the car keys to Nathan, “I’m
bothering you again, Mr. Hurst.”
“It’s no big deal,” Nathan replied, then drove off in Adelaide’s car.
She looked back and saw that Reginald had already taken the
driver’s seat. So she silently got into the passenger seat, and the
Rolls–Royce drove off.
Spencer walked out from behind, glared angrily at the back of
the car for a long time, until it disappeared around the corner.
The phone rang.
At the sight of his father, he answered the phone with a
suppressed anger, “Dad.”
“Talked nicely with the customer, then just left them hanging
there. When did you start getting all antsy and restless to
work!” Finley scolded angrily.
Spencer got into the car, “Had something come up last minute.”
Finley got even angrier, “What could be more important than

customers! Are you out of your mind!”
Spencer pressed his forehead, his face full of irritation, “Dad, are you asking me to meet clients or go on blind dates?”
“Both talked.”
“I made my own decisions about my marriage, so stop setting me up on blind dates, and I’m not doing business with the Barnard family anymore,” he threatened.
“You dare!”
“I dare not tell you what I did.” Spencer said coldly.
“You!”
“I was on my way back to the company, so I hung up first.” Spencer didn’t care about his father’s roar on the other end, he
just hung up the phone.
The car was quiet, Adelaide was looking out the window,
feeling down.
“Intentionally came to see him?” Reginald suddenly asked.
“If I didn’t come, he would keep sending people to monitor
Teresa, which caused trouble in Teresa’s life,” Adelaide

Reginald was angry, She acted alone, ignoring the danger. She
knew Spencer had ulterior motives, but she still went ahead
and did it.
“Did that make sense?”
Adelaide turned her head and looked at him speechlessly. She
knew he was asking on purpose, she knew he heard everything.

She thought to herself, but still sincerely said, “Thank you, Mr.
Thorton.”
Reginald’s mouth twitched, Thanks again.
“Adelaide, let me hear ‘thank you‘ again, and you can waive the
design commission from Noventra Group.”
“Adelaide was dumbfounded, “Mr. Thorton, you can’t mix
business with pleasure.”
“Well, after all, I’m a dirty man.”
“That was what Spencer said, what’s he up to with her here?”
