Hearing his icy tone, I let out a bitter laugh: “What if it was me saying it, Benjamin? Would you lecture me too?”
He paused. “Olivia?”
Hearing his uncertainty about my voice, I simply hummed in response.
The homeroom teacher looked back and forth between Sophia and me, eyes gleaming as she eagerly watched the dra- ma unfold.
Amidst the silence on the call, Sophia raised an eyebrow at me, then giggled sweetly: “Honey, tell them, who’s actual- ly your wife?”
“Of course it’s you. Don’t embarrass yourself arguing over nonsense like this.”
My younger brother stared at me wide-eyed: “Sis… you and Benjamin really divorced?”
I pressed my lips together in a wry smile, only then noticing the new text notification:
[Thought you wanted a divorce? Now you’re out there claiming to be my wife-finally know you were wrong?]
Sophia is, after all, the biological mother of his heir and has been with me for so many years. I can’t let her lose face in public. Don’t speak like that outside anymore. If you need money, I’ll give it to you.
He was still willing to give me money, yet he divorced me so abruptly and denied our relationship.
Suddenly, I wasn’t sure if there had ever been genuine affection between us all those years. But thankfully, I no longer cared.
I pulled our marriage certificate from my bag and placed it before Sophia. “Apologize, or I’ll expose the truth about those two illegitimate children. You surely remember why you stayed abroad all those years.”
Indeed, the reason Sophia couldn’t return home with her children for so long was because Benjamin feared I’d discov- er the truth and dreaded the gossip.
Gossip will not only drown her and her child, but also affect the Johnson family’s reputation and stock price.
As expected, she bit her lip and said no more, after all, she hadn’t yet established a legal marriage with Benjamin.
If she kept arguing, everyone would know she’s a mistress.
“Also, please have Olivia Reynolds and your brother apologize to my brother-one falsely accused a student without reason, the other verbally insulted and started the fight.”

Olivia Reynolds beside her watched Sophia’s angry departure in confusion, I stood firmly in front of my brother: “Teacher, please give an explanation, I believe the school has surveillance.”
She could only grit her teeth and apologize to my brother, but my brother still looked very dejected.
I took my brother and left, tapping his shoulder reassuringly on the way: “It’s okay, I’m not angry.”
Then I called my parents to say I’d join them for dinner tonight.
But their line was busy too. Rushing home, I pushed open the door to chaos.
The living room held no intact furniture-
debris carpeted the floor-
even pools of blood stained the surface.
Frantic, I ran to the master bedroom where Dad tended Mom’s wounds. “Dad! Mom! What happened?”
Seeing me, Mom wiped her tears away.
“Don’t worry, Olivia. Just scratches. They said you divorced Benjamin, that this is his house, and we must leave. Did he hurt you?”
My tears broke free. Dad handed me tissues before I could speak. “It’s alright, my dear Olivia. We’ll move back to our old place. If Benjamin can turn his back so completely, divorce him we shall!”
“Don’t worry, Mom and Dad. The only thing that matters is that you weren’t mistreated.”
Seeing them pretend to be calm while comforting me made my nose sting. I couldn’t speak.
Only family would prioritize my happiness and safety above all else, no matter what they endured.
I called the property management. Soon, knocking echoed at our door.
But when Mom opened it and saw who stood outside, she collapsed to the floor. Dad erupted in fury.
