Xena’s POV
The man before me was barely recognizable from the photos I’d seen. Jericho looked like he’d been through hell his clothes were filiby rags, hit wall and unkempt. But despite his broken appearance, I could sense an intelligence behind those tired eyes.
“Jericho,” I said, my voice steady despite everything I’d been through. I think we have a lot to discuss.”
He nodded slowly, his gaze flicking between Logan, Ryder, and me.
“Sit, Logan commanded, pointing to a chair they’d brought in. Jericho complied without argument.
“Do you know who I am?” I asked, my voice steady but respectful.
“I do, he replied quietly.
“Do you know who they are?” I glanced at Ryder and Logan.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Logan, this is Penelope’s father, Jericho.” I didn’t look at Logan as I spoke. Jericho appeared surprised but said nothing.
“What?” Logan remained calm but studied Jericho carefully. His beard had grown out, and his hair looked like it hadn’t been combed in months. The length reached his shoulders, concealing his identity effectively.
“Jericho isn’t the traitor you thought he was, and neither was Tom,” I said.
“Tom never betrayed anyone!” Jericho’s voice carried anger and pain.
“I know. Tom was a spy placed by Alpha Benedict. However, these two men formed an agreement based on similar goals. You see, Alpha Wiley has a mate who’s still alive. Before she found Alpha Wiley, she had a boyfriend.” I kept my gaze fixed on Jericho, ensuring what I’d been told was the truth.
Jericho avoided eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. He knew far more than we’d imagined.
‘Is she is she still alive?” he asked, his voice trembling.
‘Yes.”
“Who is she?” Logan demanded.
“Her name is Tansy. Alpha Callan’s only daughter, Penelope’s mother.” I watched as both Ryder’s and Logan’s eyes widened in shock.
“WHAT?” Logan shouted before forcing himself to calm down.
“When Wiley found Tansy, she was already pregnant. She tried to pass the child off as Wiley’s, but the baby looked too much like her father. Wiley discovered the truth, so they sent the child away. Jericho has been working undercover in Wiley’s pack for nineteen years, protecting Penelope from attack.
I’m confused,” Ryder said, trying to piece together the connections.
Tatum.
“Alpha Wiley wants Tatum to take over the pack when he dies. However, werewolf law requires the firstborn to become alpha. Penelope is olde Therefore, Penelope is the rightful heir to the title, not Tatum. Only if Penelope dies can Tatum become alpha. However, Wiley knew Tom was a Wiley read every text Tom sent to Alpha Benedict. That’s why he moved operations away from the garage. He had advance warning. Wiley’s goal was to kill everyone and take over all three packs.”

“Yeah, we gave him a way out when we moved our pack to Logan’s territory. He was going to just kill everyone instead of targeting just you two and me. I looked between Ryder and Logan.

Logan was speechless. He wasn’t sure what to say, just kept looking between Ryder and me, then back to Jericho.
“For Penelope…” I looked at Logan. He met my gaze, and I didn’t need to say anything else.
After a moment, he said, “Alright.”
