Katie’s eyes sparkled as she gazed out the window of Lucian’s private jet. “We’re really going to
the beach?”
He grinned. “I thought you’d like that,”
As they arrived at the boutique, Katie’s eyes landed on a stunning white one–piece swimsuit with
intricate cutouts.
“Oh, wow,” she breathed, picking it up.
Lucian’s expression turned hesitant. “You don’t want to wear that,”
She raised an eyebrow, teasing him. “Why not? You’re afraid others will see how beautiful I am?” His eyes flashed with attraction, and he looked away, trying to compose himself. Katie smiled to herself, feeling a thrill of excitement.
She tried on the swimsuit and felt sexy and confident.
When she emerged from the dressing room, Lucian’s eyes widened in admiration. “You lool stunning,”
At the beach, Katie was thrilled by the white sand and turquoise water. Lucian picked out all he avorite snacks and drinks.
How did you know all my favorite foods?” she asked, curious.
I did my research,” he winked.
She realized that Lucian had been paying attention to the little details of her life.
She found it really sweet that he was taking notes, even if they weren’t a real couple at the time.
As they enjoyed their meal, they talked about their passions and interests.

Katie smiled sadly and waved her hand.
As Lucian went to get more drinks, some sleazy guy approached her.
He tried to make a move, but suddenly, Lucian stepped in.
“She’s my wife,” he said, his voice stern. “I’d suggest you back off.”
The guy immediately retreated, bowing down. “I’m sorry, Alpha Lucian. I didn’t know it was you.” Katie had to stifle a smile. “Is that how everyone is scared of you?”
He flashed her a grin. “Yeah, because they know what I’m capable of. They’d rather not play with
fire.”
Later, as they shared drinks, Katie tried to ignore the feelings stirring in her stomach. The electric connection of their mate bond.
It was hard when he was sitting so close. Leaning in.
She had to remind herself of the unconventional arrangement between them. And the need to
keep it that way.
When they got back on the jet, they headed to the hotel.
Katie started to feel a bit bold. Slightly intoxicated.
She swayed to the side, and Lucian reached out, grabbing her waist just in time, his eyes locking with hers.
Time seemed to stop.
She didn’t think she could be this attracted to someone after all the hell she had been through. Her wolf started excitedly jumping in her head, and she rolled her eyes. “My wolf wants you,” she said lazily.
Lucian smirked. “Oh, really? And how about you? Do you want me too?”
Katie pretended to think for a second. “How about I show you?” she murmured, and then kissec

He was caught off guard. But he kissed her back, impressed by her boldness.
By morning, Katie woke up to an awkward realization.
Lucian had marked her.

Rubbing her neck, she winced slightly, feeling a minor headache brewing.
Just then, Lucian walked into the room, his eyes searching hers. “Need anything?”
Katie’s stomach warmed up at the sound of his voice. “Yes, I can eat a whole rhino,”
He chuckled. “Okay, rhino it is,”
As they sat down to a hearty breakfast, Lucian mentioned that they needed to fly back to the pack.
“I’ll introduce you to everyone as our new Luna,” he said, his eyes serious.
She was excited. Nervous.
Anyway, she thanked the goddess he acted as though nothing happened between them the previous night.

Upon arrival at the Blue Moon Pack later, Lucian called a meeting with the pack members.
Katie stood beside him, feeling a bit self–conscious as he introduced her as their new Luna and his wife.
“Let’s show her the respect she deserves,” Lucian said, his voice commanding. “Follow her lead, just as you would follow mine.”
The pack members cheered, some looking more enthusiastic than others.
Katie smiled, trying to appear confident despite feeling a bit overwhelmed.
As the cheers died down, Lucian wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close.
He took her to a corner. Then told her he had some news about her family.
Her heart skipped a beat. “What is it?”
“I’ve done some digging. You’re the rightful CEO of that luxury brand your family owns.”
“I was planning on making a comeback, but I wasn’t sure how,” she admitted.
Lucian’s smile was reassuring. “You don’t have to worry about that anymore. Now that you hav me, I’ll make sure your aunt and uncle step down and pay for what they did.”
Katie’s laughter was cold. “They won’t like it one bit.”
His eyes glinted. “Who cares? Anyway. We’ve also discovered they’re trying to extract diamonds from the landed property your parents left behind. There’s a possibility of finding diamonds that could make them rich and powerful. But you need to get to it first.”
‘How do I claim what’s rightfully mine?”
Lucian’s grip on her hands was gentle. “Don’t worry, I have men working on it. I’ll bring out all the papers they’ve hidden as proof. Just get ready to take back everything.”
Katie’s smile was radiant. “Thank you, Lucian. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
He waved his hand dismissively. “We’re mates, Katie. Anything for you.”
With newfound confidence, Katie strode into the company, disrupting the board meeting the next day.
Dakota and her parents sat, shocked out of their minds as Katie entered.
Dakota snapped, “What the hell are you doing here?”
“I’m here to take my rightful place as CEO. And as the new Luna of the Blue Moon pack, I demand respect.”
