“I demand an investigation on who sent the wrong memo,” Katie said sharply.
She scheduled an emergency meeting and sent out the real memo to everybody. The response was immediate.
Employees breathed a collective sigh of relief, their faces lighting up with smiles.
Someone shouted. “Thank you, Luna Katie! We were worried sick!”
‘We are excited to have you as our new CEO!” another employee chimed in.
The praise and congratulations poured in.
Katie felt relieved.
But one person didn’t want to celebrate at all.
Dakota.
She watched from the side. Mad as hell.

Katie beamed with excitement as she finalized the deal with a major client.
The investment would go a long way. Especially as they were launching a new product soon.
Jnknown to her, Dakota was determined to sabotage the deal.
The day of the signing, Katie waited anxiously at the restaurant.
But Mr Smith didn’t show up.

Katie’s instincts warned her something was off, but she tried to stay professional.
As they discussed the deal, she seemed pleasant. Even friendly.
Just as Mrs Smith was about to sign, she pulled out papers from her bag and threw them at
Katie.
Katie was shocked to see compromising photos of herself and Mr Smith.
“No, it’s a huge misunderstanding!” She protested, her voice rising. “I was never with Mr Smith in that way. These photos are clearly edited or photoshopped!”

Mrs Smith nodded. “Yeah, I know someone’s trying to sabotage you. And I know it’s that cousin of yours, Dakota.”
Katie’s jaw dropped. She was shocked at the lengths Dakota would go to bring her down.
Mrs Smith continued, “I received the pictures from Dakota, and I immediately knew something was up. I’ve already heard about Dakota’s dealings and the scandal between her and your ex–husband. I know she’s a deceitful person, so I couldn’t believe anything she says.”
Katie felt relieved. “Thank you.”
Mrs Smith smiled. “I’ve seen how you’re trying to turn around that company, which Dakota anc her family were trying to pull down. I’m going to support you, and my husband’s full support is with you for launching your new product.”
Katie beamed with excitement. “Thank you so much!” she exclaimed.
Mrs Smith signed the deal.
As they parted ways, Katie glanced out the window and saw Dakota standing alone in anger.
Dakota gritted her teeth as she watched Katie leave.

But then news spread that their biggest rival company had released a similar product first.

The office was in disarray, with everyone panicking and wondering what to do.
Dakota seized the opportunity to slander Katie, “She’s so incompetent. As CEO, she allowe something so drastic to happen. How are we supposed to follow her lead when she’s going to sink us into more debt?”
Katie said confidently, “Everyone, please calm down. We’ll continue with the product launch a ›lanned.”
The board members exchanged worried glances. “Luna Katie, are you sure it’s a good decision? one of them asked.
‘Yeah, don’t worry.”
As she spoke, she fixed Dakota with a piercing look and leaned in to whisper in her ear. “I know you did this, and I was sure you were going to pull a stunt like this. Bless the moon goddess for giving me wisdom.”
Dakota let out a sharp gasp. “What do you even mean?”
Katie leaned back with a complacent smirk. “You’ll soon find out.”
The launch began.
Katie took the stage, presenting a bigger and even better product. Compared to the rival product, hers was superior.
It was clear which one would hit the market harder.
Everybody went wild with happiness.
Dakota stomped her feet in anger as Katie shot her a dazzling smile.
