Far away overseas, Dylan had just finished beating up Lily and was now sitting on the couch, smoking sullenly.
The TV was broadcasting news about the Sullivan family triplets.
Watching John’s radiant smile on screen, then looking at his own pathetic state, Dylan felt a bitter mix of emotions.
He couldn’t understand how his life had turned out this way.
He was supposed to inherit the Sullivan family fortune, marry Wendy, and reach the pinnacle of success. How had everything changed?
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through the back of his neck.
He spun around to see Lily holding an empty syringe, grinning at him maniacally:
“Dylan, you won’t have it easy. Fall into hell with me!” Blood was still trickling from the corner of her mouth, yet her smile looked more horrifying than tears.
“You psycho! What did you inject me with?”
Dylan backed away in terror.

Lily wiped the blood from her mouth, her smile growing even more sinister:
“Drugs, of course. Let you taste what addiction feels like too!”
With that, she collapsed to the floor like a pile of mud.
Dylan scrambled out of the room, but it was too late.
The deadly drugs had already begun coursing through his veins.
When news of Dylan’s drug addiction reached home, I was busy preparing the triplets‘ full moon celebration.
“Let him get proper treatment overseas,” John said coldly. “He can come back when he’s cured. If he can’t be cured… we’ll act like we never had this son.”
He then looked down at the three little ones in their swaddling clothes, his expression softening: “Besides, we have three little angels now.”
“The first attempt failed, but we have three backup plans. What’s there to worry about?”
I smiled and nodded.
It seemed that in this lifetime, karma was coming faster than I’d expected.

The news of Dylan’s self–destruction overseas didn’t dampen my spirits one bit.
Though John was getting on in years, he was still going strong.
I went on to bear him a pair of twin sons and a precious little daughter.
Looking at this group of little ones, my heart overflowed with joy.
While I enjoyed peaceful days with a house full of children, Dylan had completely fallen into ruin.
One day, I received word that Dylan, in a drug–induced delirium, had accidentally killed Lily.
When I heard this news, I was playing with the children. Upon hearing it, John simply said, “Don’t bother with him.”
John had completely given up on his eldest son.
Days passed like this, and before I knew it, we’d reached the date of Xiao Zheng’s destined death.
Because I was worried, I made him stay home with me all day.
So that day also passed safely.
I breathed a sigh of relief and devoted myself wholeheartedly to enjoying my blissful life.
